About Florian Pixner

Bio

Florian Pixner is the founder of CVT Advisory, a boutique consultancy focused on helping data and intelligence businesses grow, transform, and scale. He brings over 20 years of executive experience in business intelligence, people intelligence, and compliance data - 

most recently as Chief Data Officer at Altrata and previously in senior management roles at Acuris (now part of ION Group).

Florian has led large-scale integrations, driven double-digit growth under private equity ownership, and restructured global data operations. Today, he works directly with PE firms and leadership teams to deliver value through strategy, product development, operational clarity, and go-to-market execution. Based in Kent, he works internationally and draws on a trusted network of collaborators when needed.

Global Head of Data Strategy — Acuris Risk INTELLIGENCE

2019–2021
Developed and implemented the global data strategy for the compliance division of Acuris, a BC Partners invested that exited to ION for over £1.2bn (now part of ION Group).

P&L ownership and leadership of the Wealthmonitor business, a division of Acuris,  stellar investment for BC Partners that eventually exited to ION for over £1.2bn

Developed a full GTM strategy for an enhanced due diligence offering, including sector segmentation, ICP definition, pricing guardrails, value propositions, and use-case development for multiple verticals. Delivered positioning and sales tools to enable launch within 90 days.


AI-Native Product Strategy in Risk Intelligence

Advised and project managed a scale-up on a product launch for its AI risk intelligence platform targeted at the legal sector. 


AI-Native market assessment advisory in Risk Intelligence

Defined adjacent market opportunities, including market sizing (TAM/SAM), client analysis, competitive insights. This led to refined market positioning, prioritised use cases embedded in the GTM.


Portfolio Value Creation Planning for Data Assets

Supported a mid-market PE firm in assessing and unlocking value across a data-rich portfolio. Provided commercial diagnostics, prioritised value creation levers, and advised management on GTM alignment and product strategy.


Post-Aquisition Integration

Led the integration of five acquired platforms across product, data, and operations. Consolidated platform architecture, unified product strategy, and redesigned data workflows—achieving margin expansion, reduced headcount, and renewed growth in a previously declining portfolio.


Turnaround of a Distressed GRC Data Business

Supported the acquisition and operational turnaround of a compliance data asset. Advised on data remediation, cost restructuring, platform rebuild, and re-launch strategy—enabling a full commercial relaunch within one year.


GTM and Market Entry for RegTech Scale-Up

Led market assessment, competitive benchmarking, and segment strategy for a RegTech business expanding into new verticals. Defined sales playbook, buyer personas, and go-to-market priorities to support PE-backed international expansion.
